Alex Hone has more than 20 years investment experience having worked with leading global firms in both Sydney and London. His experience has included establishing and developing funds management businesses that in turn developed global reputations for investment excellence.
Alex was previously the founding CEO/CIO of Atrium Investment Management. Prior to this, Alex was a Portfolio Manager with Magellan Financial Group and with Capital Partners (now CP2), a specialist global investment advisory and management firm. Alex commenced his career in the Treasury division of the National Australia Bank.
Brett has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry and over 10 years in the Funds Management industry. Brett was previously the Chief Operating Officer for Atrium Investment Management. Brett has also held roles as General Manager for the Australian chapter of the Alternative Investment Management Association (“AIMA”) and Chief Operating Officer for Brevan Howard, one of the world’s largest hedge fund managers. Brett was Chief Operating Officer for Brevan Howards Jersey office and was also an executive director for a number of their investment management entities around the world. In addition, Brett trained as a chartered accountant with PWC working in both their Sydney and Jersey offices.
Marcus is the Managing Partner for Quadrant Private Equity having joined in March 2006. Marcus has over 20 years private equity experience starting in the UK with NatWest Ventures (now Bridgepoint). He joined AMP in 1994 as Joint Head of Private Equity where he completed several major buyouts including Tasman Building Products.
Marcus is a member of the Quadrant Investment Committee and is also a Director on a number of Quadrant investee companies.
Mark has over 20 years of continuous property funds management experience in the Australian real estate industry. He has held roles that span the full spectrum of the real estate funds management industry, from acquisition to asset management, through corporate governance to capital raising. He has been involved in the start up of several funds management businesses, including in the UK, and has executed a China real estate strategy.
Mark has held various roles with Glenmont, Becton Investment Management, Orchard Funds Management, Primewest and Realside. Mark has a long track record of identifying investment opportunities for investors, often off market, that produce income and capital growth commensurate with the specific underlying real estate with a keen focus on the relationship between risk and reward.
Chris Cuffe has more than 30 years of experience in building successful investment management businesses at Colonial First State Investments and Challenger Financial Services Group. Chris is a non-executive director of various listed investment companies and a member of the investment committees of a number of ultra-high net worth families, the $4bn Paul Ramsay Foundation and UniSuper Limited. He is also the Chairman and founder of Australian Philanthropic Services, a not‐ for‐profit organisation that inspires effective philanthropy, and provides education and practical support for individuals and advisers. Chris is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, a Fellow of Finsia, holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of NSW and a Diploma from the Securities Institute of Australia. He received the Australian Fund Managers Hall of Fame award in 2017 and was also appointed as an Officer in the General Division of the Order of Australia in the same year.
Kevin has over 20 years’ experience in financial markets including 9 years focused on multi-strategy investment management. Kevin was based in Hong Kong and worked at Stark Investments and its spin-off, OCP Asia for 9 years as a Portfolio Manager of their Australasian and Greater China portfolios. During this time, he managed investments across multiple asset classes including equities, credit and privates. Kevin’s prior experience also includes 8 years in investment banking at JPMorgan in both Australia and Hong Kong where he focused on mergers & acquisitions as well as equity capital and derivatives markets.
Linda is a Partner at Realside, overseeing the Realside Property asset and funds management platform, including sourcing new opportunities, driving performance, and delivering risk-adjusted returns.
Linda has extensive experience in asset and investment management, across the office, industrial and retail sectors, with a key focus on driving outcomes and performance. Prior to joining Realside, Linda held senior positions with Knight Frank Australia and CBRE.
Linda holds a Bachelor of Business (Property Economics) from Western Sydney University, an Executive Master of Business Administration (eMBA) through the University of Sydney, is a qualified surveyor and member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
Linda is a Director on the Board of the Real Estate Institute of NSW.
Antoine has over 15 years’ experience in financial markets, including 12 years in investment management. Prior to joining Realside, Antoine worked for 9 years at the Australian subsidiary of Anchorage Capital Group LLC, a multi strategy investment manager primarily focussed on credit & special situations investment markets. At Anchorage, Antoine invested in a wide range of illiquid and liquid opportunities across both private and public markets.
Antoine started his investment career in Goldman Sachs’ Investment Banking Division based in Sydney responsible for undertaking a range of real estate and special situations investments.
Bibiana is the Finance Manager in the Realside Property team and has has over 15 years’ experience in finance, property accounting and real estate.
Bibiana was previously Director of Client Financial Services at Knight Frank Australia, delivering property financials services across the portfolios of groups such as SCA Property Group, Home Consortium, Altis Property Partners, Fortius Funds Management, Mapletree, and Aqualand. Bibiana has held roles with CBRE and the Audit Office of New South Wales, as well as within several chartered accounting firms.
Bibiana is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of New South Wales.
Justin has over 11 years’ experience in financial markets, the majority of which have been in principal investing and asset management. Prior to joining Realside, Justin worked for 8 years at Goldman Sachs as an executive director in the Australian principal investment area (formerly known as the special situations group). Justin has extensive origination and asset management experience in both corporate and real estate investments and was part of the leadership team that deployed and managed over A$6bn in private debt and equity investments.
Justin holds a Bachelor of Business (Honours in Finance) from the University of Technology, Sydney.
Katrina has over 13 years’ experience in financial markets encompassing distribution, strategy, investment specialist and risk management roles across Macquarie Group’s cash equities and asset management businesses in Sydney, Hong Kong and London. Immediately prior to joining Realside, Katrina was responsible for representing Macquarie Asset Management’s Public Investments Australian and global equity, fixed income and liquid alternative capabilities across wholesale consultants, research houses and independent dealer groups researchers. Katrina holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance from Kaplan.
Matthew is an experienced investment professional with experience across leveraged and acquisition financing.
Prior to joining Realside, Matthew worked as an Investment Banking Associate in the Leveraged Finance team at Goldman Sachs. Matthew was focused on providing commercial and financial advice for a broad range of corporate clients and financial sponsors. Matthew was involved in acquisition financing and capital markets transactions across a range of industries including real estate, education, consumer, retail and health care.
Matthew holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Corporate Finance Major) from the University of Adelaide.
Ian Gibson has over 25 years’ experience in financial markets. For much of the last 15 years Ian has acted as a Director, investment adviser and consultant to a range of financial groups and organisations. As well as being a Realside IC Member, Ian is a Director of Attunga Capital Pty Ltd (a power trading hedge fund), a Director of Regal Funds Management (a long/short equity hedge fund), an adviser to RPG Management Pty Ltd (family office), an IC Member of Atrium Investment Management (a multi-asset fund manager), a Director of Kilter Pty Ltd (a water and farmland asset manager) and a Director of Renew Power Group Pty Ltd (a renewable energy asset owner and developer). Previously, Ian was an equities analyst and portfolio manager at Fidelity Investment Management (H.K.) Ltd, an equities analyst at Potter Warburg/SBC Warburg and earlier in his career worked at the State Bank of New South Wales and BZW Australia. Ian holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Business (Finance) from the University of Technology, Sydney and a Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia.
Nick has more than 12 years investment experience, including 8 years focussed on private debt and equity within investment banks, family offices and multi-asset fund managers. Prior to Realside, he was Portfolio Manager of Private Markets at Atrium Investment Management. During this time he originated and managed a diversified portfolio of property & commercial debt, private equity and growth capital assets. His experience also includes investment banking at J.P. Morgan in their real estate team and transaction advisory at Ernst & Young, where he focussed on mergers & acquisitions as well as restructuring. Nick is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business with 1st class Honours from the Queensland University of Technology and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland.
